I expect that these points will be used for an eventual token distribution. But as it&#8217;s always the case with <a href=\"https:\/\/dpetkovski.com\/airdrops-the-real-0-to-100k-opportunity\/\">airdrops<\/a>, there are no guarantees.<\/p>\n<p>To make this an airdrop-hunting combo, I decided to evaluate the airdrop potential of all liquid staked tokens that can be restaked.<\/p>\n<p>This way, I would get an airdrop from the platform I&#8217;m staking with <strong>and<\/strong> the platform I&#8217;m restaking with (EigenLayer).<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Analysis_of_All_Available_LSTs_on_EigenLayer\"><\/span>Analysis of All Available LSTs on EigenLayer<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"css-1qaijid r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\">\u27a4 <\/span><strong><span class=\"r-18u37iz\">$wBETH<\/span><span class=\"css-1qaijid r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\">, <\/span><span class=\"r-18u37iz\">$cbETH<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"css-1qaijid r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\"> &#8211; I&#8217;m not even considering these (Binance and Coinbase staked $ETH &#8211; not my cup of tea).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"r-18u37iz\"><span class=\"css-1qaijid r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\">\u27a4<\/span>\u00a0<strong>$stETH<\/strong><\/span><strong><span class=\"css-1qaijid r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\">, <\/span><span class=\"r-18u37iz\">$rETH\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"r-18u37iz\">&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/lido.fi\/\">Lido<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/rocketpool.net\/\">RocketPool<\/a> are the OGs in the liquid staking space, but there&#8217;s no potential for extra rewards besides the 2-4% yield.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"r-18u37iz\"><span class=\"css-1qaijid r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\">\u27a4<\/span><\/span><strong>\u00a0<span class=\"r-18u37iz\">$ETHx<\/span><span class=\"css-1qaijid r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\">, <\/span><span class=\"r-18u37iz\">$osETH<\/span><span class=\"css-1qaijid r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\">, <\/span><span class=\"r-18u37iz\">$LsETH<\/span><span class=\"css-1qaijid r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\">, $sfrxETH, $ankrETH\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"css-1qaijid r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\">&#8211; couldn&#8217;t find evidence that any of these might lead to airdrops for stakers in the future. No point systems, no mention of &#8220;decentralizing governance&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"css-1qaijid r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\">\u27a4 <\/span><strong><span class=\"r-18u37iz\">$oETH<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"css-1qaijid r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\"> &#8211; same as the previous ones, but I put it in a separate bullet point because I like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.originprotocol.com\/\">OriginProtocol<\/a><\/span><span class=\"css-1qaijid r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\">&#8216;s &#8220;proof of yield&#8221; approach. It&#8217;s like an <a href=\"https:\/\/dpetkovski.com\/etfs-exchange-traded-funds\/\">ETF<\/a> &#8211; they diversify the deposits across other liquid staking providers (some of which are part of this list). But their governance token is already out and couldn&#8217;t find evidence for a distribution.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"css-1qaijid r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\">\u27a4 <\/span><strong><span class=\"r-18u37iz\">$mETH<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"css-1qaijid r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\"> &#8211; highest yield (7%+), but not sure if it&#8217;s an airdrop worthy opportunity if not held on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mantle.xyz\/\">Mantle<\/a><\/span><span class=\"css-1qaijid r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mantle.xyz\/\">\u00a0network<\/a> but on Ethereum mainnet. However, if you don&#8217;t care about rewards beyond the yield, this might be the best option for you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"css-1qaijid r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\">\u27a4 <\/span><strong><span class=\"r-18u37iz\">$swETH<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"css-1qaijid r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\"> &#8211; the only liquid staked $ETH that has a points system and a potential extra reward (airdrop) <\/span><span class=\"css-1qaijid r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\">beyond the yield.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Conclusion\"><\/span>Conclusion<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"css-1qaijid r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\">I think I&#8217;ll choose <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swellnetwork.io\/\">Swell Network<\/a>&#8216;s $swETH for my restaking once again.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In their docs, they mention an <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.swellnetwork.io\/swell\/governance-and-tokenomics\/swell-token\">upcoming launch of their $SWELL token<\/a>. And their amount-and-time-weighted point system (similar to EigenLayer&#8217;s actually) implies that a part of it might be distributed across stakers based on accumulated points.<\/p>\n<p>Which LST would you choose?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>EigenLayer announced that they&rsquo;re unpausing restaking on 29th of January.
