This is a factual report of recent events based on documented evidence. It is not intended to defame or unfairly harm any individual or company.
CitizenX is a Swiss-based company that helps investors acquire a second passport.
Their lead magnet (Taxes in Europe in 2025) is a verbatim copy-paste of one of my most popular posts (Investment Taxes in ALL EU Countries).

This is a small excerpt, more screenshots at the end of this post.
As you can see, it’s a 1:1 copy – not just reusing the data or the idea.
Overall, I’m surprised that a company of this caliber uses smaller creators in this way.
Note: they’re not a bunch of amateurs bootstrapping a minimum viable product – CitizenX recently raised $2.5M from high-profile angel investors (among which Balaji Srinivasan and Tim Draper) and offer concierge services for acquiring citizenships priced in the 6 figures:

While I’m glad that established companies find my writing inspiring, I’m a bit disappointed to see it republished word for word and especially without credits.
I actually wouldn’t mind my content being repurposed given proper attribution. If you like what I have to offer, just link to my website or hire me for a consultation (of course, that ship has sailed for previous offenders).
I guess thank you for showing me the worth of my research.
Update (Day 2)
After calling them out publicly and people started noticing, the official CitizenX account blocked me on X.

I shared this publicly as well and received numerous messages/emails showing their support and disgust of CitizenX’s tactics. As a smaller account, my posts didn’t reach the visibility I’d like them to, but I kept at it.
This is my request to the CEO of CitizenX:

Will update here as this progresses.
Update (Day 3 and 4)
An employee of CitizenX contacted me assuring me that they’re investigating.

But I wasn’t looking an explanation.
I’m looking for a public admission of what they did and proper credit.
But they ignored my follow up communication even after acknowledging the plagiarism in private chat.
And this is what they’ve done to others as well. She says “this is not how we want the business to operate” but I found out that I’m not the only victim:
Now I’m waiting for them to admit their wrongdoing publicly.
Will update the progress here.
Final Update
CitizenX seems to have reconsidered its position.
As I continued demanding a public statement and the situation was gaining more attention, they unblocked me and commented on one of my call-out posts:

Their statement calls this a “misunderstanding” and blames an “AI model” that “might have” done it. I reject that. It was plagiarism followed by blocking and avoidance when confronted.
But I won’t fight pettiness. The saga can end here.
For the future (hopefully not necessary), I advise them to act faster and with integrity before someone decides to pursue what’s legally theirs, especially while registered in a jurisdiction with strong enforcement of intellectual property rights. Personally, I tend to value justice over worthless money, so I consider this matter resolved.
